Question – If I operate a sole proprietorship in DE it states that I would have to register in each county I planned to operate in. If I have a website and sell products across the US…am I technically only operating in the county from which I’m taking orders and shipping?
Our Answer – Registering in multiple counties is only required if you are physically doing business in each of those counties. One example would be like if you were a contractor working on houses in multiple counties. You are only physically doing business out of your home, so you only need to register in the county where your business activities take place.
